Latitude 10 won't wake up
Everything was working fine for a couple of days. I got office installed and a few games. Now I have noticed that the tablet won't wake up after it goes into sleep mode. I have to hold the power button until it powers off and then start it up again. I tried to do a system recovery but it fails saying that one of the files was locked to disable antivirus. I uninstalled my antivirus and it still won't restore. If I use the option to refresh my pc but save my documents, will it refresh with the dell drivers installed already?

For any of you still having the problems with the touch screen on your Latitude 10 and Latitude 10e tablets if you have not already done so please make sure that the bios has been updated to the latest version, A06 for Latitude 10, and A04 for Latitude 10e. Please make sure that the latest chipset driver has been installed for your model and that all Windows updates have been installed.
Please note here if you notice the issue only while docked, if you connect to a Cisco or Sonicwall, VPN, or you have seen disabled or banged out HID drivers listed in device manager.
Thank you

We have the same issue here, we have been testing two of the devices and both have the same issue with going to sleep. Holding the power button down and rebooting seem to be the only way to get it to start again. Using the docking station with it as well.

Same problem here. Latitude 10 will not wake up after going to sleep. I also hold down power button to reboot the system - and I also use the docking station.

I am getting the same issue. I have upgradded the OS to enterprise and everything is working except that.

Same issue here and I've ran all updates (both Dell and Windows) and re-calibrated the touch screen and still the same thing. I also get the same behavior without using the dock.

I occasionally have this issue as well. In addition, if I remove it from the dock, it goes to sleep, when I wake it up again the touchscreen is not responsive and I have to reset it.

Actually, I can plug in a mice\keyboard and it works fine, however the touchscreen is non functional. Is there anyway to restart the touch interface via a service restart or something?

The temporary fix for this is to go into device manager using the mouse, and disable the stopped HID devices, then re-enable. This happens to me several times each day on my Latitude 10.
I called Dell support about this, and they were more interested in selling me stuff than fixing anything.

I'm also having a problem with this. Is a fix forthcoming? Very annoying. Considering returning the machine and getting my money back. :-(

I have the same issue here as well. I have also seen limited wifi connectivity while connected to certain wireless routers (Netgear N150 and N600), but it works great at my office which has a Cisco/Linksys E4200. An update would be nice.

Well, I did a complete system restore and carefully re-installed software on the Desktop side, to see if there was something that got hosed in the registry or something.
One oddity that occurred this time around was when I went to install applications in the Desktop environment, the installer reported that it needed access to files that certain services had locked down. Specifically, three bluetooth related services. The installer asked for permission to stop these services so it could proceed with the install. I gave it the go ahead and it completed the installation.
I bring this up wondering if this issue (touch interface going dead) has anything to do with the bluetooth and the touch systems having problems with one another somehow. Because, for me, the first time around I did not notice any problems with touch working after waking from sleep until after I paired my bluetooth keyboard with the tablet. That is when my touch UI started going dead after waking from sleep.
This time around I have not paired my tablet with a bluetooth keyboard yet. I am waiting a little while before doing that again.
Any one with more technical knowledge than myself have a take on this theory?
Thanks.

I never enabled Bluetooth, and the hid devices stop every time the computer sleeps.

Thanks Maxwell. That helps eliminate that one from the list.

I just unchecked "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for all three I2C HID devices. So far so good. I don't know what it will do to power consumption in sleep.

Try my fix, it's working so far...
