My Streak Experience

I have been reading lot of comments about Dell Streak and it is very unfortunate that some people are facing problems. However, I have a completely contrasting experience so far.

I purchased my dell streak 5 in december and it was black in color. It was working great and I noticed that when I used ear phones I could hear only on right side and not left. So I complained to Dell and with 3 to 4 days my dell streak was replaced with a new RED CHERRY.

As soon as I came home with Dell Streak (Red) I connected to my wifi and updated to official Dell Android 2.2 which was available in December 2010 here in india.

It has been nearly 3 and half months and I must say Dell Streak worked great. I had few minor problems and those were solved easily.

Wifi has been stable, doesnt get disconnected and works great.

I kept the brightness to "Auto brightness" and installed many free applications from Android market.

Call quality is superb 9/10 , Wifi - very good-9/10 , Brightness-9/10 , resolution - 9/10 , Sound - 9/10, Performance - 9/10 Swype -9/10 Camera -7/10, Video 6/10 Applications work fine,

I have moved many of my apps to SD card. I have also installed Lookout Mobile security for anti virus and security.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dell streak to everyone. Even though it is touch expensive I felt it was worth. Taking pictures with Dell Streak is

also good. But video is not that great. I have taken few videos and I can see pixels. This is the only drawback. It is just OK but definitely great.

So easily it can replace iphone 3g and many other phones which are below 5 inch.

Dell Streak Performance is awesome. It can do everything you need.

Overall I would give 9/10 for Dell streak. My experience with Dell streak has been 1000 times or more better than iphone 3g. 

Now I hope and request Dell to release android 2.3 or 3.0 quickly . I am waiting eagerly for the future updates. I hope Dell is listening.

Note:- Please don't install too many wifi applications , it can cause problems with wifi.

Based on my experience with Dell Streak 5 I feel Dell streak 10 might absolutely rock. I might buy Dell Streak 10 in future.

So far I have purchased Inspiron 6400 laptop, Inspiron 1520 laptop, Studio 540s desktop, Joy sticks, RAM and many other products. For all the products I must say Dell has done a great job in providing me excellent hardware. And I took care of Software my self.

And if there was a problem Dell service has been outstanding. 8/10 for Customer Support.

So I am one of those proud owners of Dell Streak and other Dell products.

Thank you Dell. And I hope and request Dell to release android 2.3 or 3.0 quickly . I am waiting eagerly for the future updates. I hope Dell is listening.
