No Bootable Device on Inspiron 12 7445 2-in-1

The laptop isn't even 6 months old and I already have issues. I could vent, but I need help. After intermittent problems, it finally won't start up. After being on with dell support for 1+ hours, now I have a different problem. No Bootable device. The HW scan came back normal and then it asked me to do a repair, but I could never log in with my Microsoft password as it kept giving an error after putting in the username. Now, it won't even give me that. It's as if it's in a run on loop with the No Bootable Device message and continue just keeps bringing me back to the same place. Help.

I regret this purchase, but hopefully something can be salvaged.  Thanks in advance~

Hi

Dunno.

https://www.dell.com/support/home/pre-boot-analysis

Then perhaps, armed with the above and the known results of the Hardware Diagnostic check, consider...

Local repairer for assessment and costs

then maybe try DELL

Dell under a warranty claim, knowing the Local assessment etc you should get a fairly rapid turnaround from Dell.

Hi

Not knowing what resources you have available, I may miss the point....

First I would suggest you get your 48 character BitLocker key from your Microsoft account, written down, ready to use.

Next would be to make a Repair/Recovery/Reinstall/Rebuild USB.

Rufus can help with this...

There are several option screens, but essentially you want to boot the USB to try and REPAIR your Windows installation.

If necessary take pictures of any progress/problems and post accordingly.

If in doubt please ask.

Thanks for responding. How do I get this? I have three other working PCs so I am working from a working PC to try to fix the NON working PC.

Hi

USB of 8 GB minimum capacity.

Download/Install Rufus (I am not currently running W11, so cannot dot every T or cross every I).

I have several on my recovery stick...

being the important one for this conversation.

The video is far more verbose, and hopefully helpful.

Nvm, i goggled and found out to get the keys (I have several). The repair is running and it's showing that an issue was detected with the partition table. More to follow

Hi

4 PC's, possibly 4 BitLocker keys.

If in doubt please ask.

I have successfully tried the keys (the correct key), but this has still not resolved my issue and I have simply closed the PC and gone back to my old reliable think pad. I simply need to get this fixed so that I can fully function. What's the best path forward, paying DELL to fix the lemon???
