Passcode for Bluetooth keyboard

 i have a Bluetooth keyboard for my dell tablet, when i try and sync it i get a Passcode box and it says i need to enter a Passcode. the problem is... i don't have one. now when i started to sync it i did see a number but i got turned away so i didn't write it down. is there a way to reset the keyboard so the needed Passcode can reappear
