Printing Issues using Android - Galaxy Tab2 10.1 - to Dell 968wAIO printer

Hi!

Advice please...... I am trying to get my 968W AIO printer to connect via wifi to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 - I cannot see it on the wifi network on the tab, have tried the Dell printing App - printer not found on there! Tried various other free( don't want to waste my money yet!) printing apps to no avail!

Any ideas?

/An alternative - Thought I'd try Bluetooth printing - can anyone recommend a bluetooth adapter/usb gatdget to put into the pictobridge usb as per the owners manual. Can it be a micro bluetooth usb gadget?seen some for a few £s.  Once again don't want to spend £15 unnecessarily!!

At end of tether as I'm sure it can print - don't want to have to buy a new printer as it works perfectly wifi on my network and to my hubby's laptop!

Any advice welcomed !

Hi carolinec10,

AIO 698w printer does not support wireless printing from mobile phones.

Yes the Bluetooth option can be used; you must purchase a Bluetooth USB adapter. The adapter must be Bluetooth 1.2 and support the Object Push Profile (OPP) and the Basic Printing Profile (BPP).  A list of tested Bluetooth USB adapters is available below:

  • Ambicom BT200C-USB.
  • Asante BU-2040_J.
  • Belkin F8T001, F8T003, F8T009.
  • CNet CBD-021.
  • Corega  CG-BTUSB01.
  • D-Link DBT-120.
  • Goldfly Industrial ES-388.
  • Hawking  H-BT1OU.
  • IOGEAR  GBU301, GBU201, GBU311.
  • Kensington  33085 or 33086.
  • Linksys  USBBT100.
  • SMART Modular Technologies 90137.
  • TRENDnet TBW-102UB.
  • TRENDware 101UB.
  • Zonet  ZUB 6110C.

You can purchase any one of the above Bluetooth adapters depending upon the availability in the market and install it in the PictBridge slot on front of printer to print from the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Please check at a local electronics store to purchase the Bluetooth adapter and also post back if you need any help in installing the Bluetooth adapter.
