Hi brittdns,

Thanks for posting.

You can try these steps.

·        Press and hold the Volume Down + Power button for 5 seconds. Release the Power button while continuing to hold the Volume Down button for another 3 seconds. This will load FastBoot mode.

·        Use the Volume Down to select the third option and press Power button to boot into RECOVERY mode.

·        In RECOVERY mode, press the Power button + Volume Up to display RECOVERY mode menu.

·        In recovery mode use Volume Down to select the wipe data/factory reset option and press Power button.

·        Confirm wipe of all data. Use the volume down to select Yes -- delete all user data and use the power button to begin the reset.

·        After Reset has been completed use Volume button to select reboot system now option and press Power button to reboot system.

NOTE: This will erase all personal data and downloaded applications on the tablet and this action is non reversible

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Robert

Hello Robert.

I also have a Venue 8 and just in the last week I started experiencing constant crashing issues with apps. I went to youtube and tried certain fixes and nothing worked. Tonite it won't boot up at all. it turns on and the white logo appears. But that's it. I tried your suggestions above, but when I get to the menu and highlight recovery and press the power button, nothing else happens. it doesn't go to the next menu. After a while the tablet turns off. Then after a while it turns back on and the white logo appears. And then a green cartoon looking image appears with a door open exposing its insides - maybe a motherboard, and with a red triangle with a black exclamation mark inside it. Then it turns off again and back on again and the white logo appears but nothing else happens It doesn't boot up. Is this Dells polite way of telling my my tablet is dead?
