very poor customer service

While checking the status on the delivey of the dell streak, I noticed that the price dropped $180.  A called to see if I could get the credit to my del account since the phone has not been shipped.  I was placed on hold for over 30 minutes only to have been transferred to the wrong department.  Transferred again to the wrong department.  Then my called was disconnected.  Has anyone else has this bad experience with customer service?

Yes.  

Even when the tech realized I had been transferred to the wrong group he gave me a 800 number to call, but that number did not work.  Once I did get to the correct department, she said she would call back yesterday so the product could be returned/repaired.  No phone call as you would guess.

I think Dell is introducing some cool new products and ideas, but the support and upgrade process needs a lot of work.

I ordered a 16gb carbon black unlocked streak on 12/15/10 in the early AM.  I noticed that night the price drop.  I ordered my Streak through the Dell Employee/Associate program through AAA.  I called Dell and was transfered 6 separate times between two divisions (Dell Mobility and Customer Service)  Finally on the 6th transfer (after I already told the previous 2 people I kept getting transfered back and forth) I told her to conference me in with whatever department it was she thought would help. 

The conference didn't go through but she had me on the line and would put me on hold to talk to the other department.  After about 15 minutes on hold she said they would have to call me back as that person had to talk to a supervisor to get to the bottom of things.  She took my call back number and assured me I would get a call back shortly. 

You guessed it no one called at all today.  So I can then again start this all over in the morning trying to get someone that will listen to the issue and try to help without passing me to another department.  I don't care how they do it....cancel my previous order and have me do a new order or just issue a credit but if they can't get this figured out I'm done.  I don't understand how this can be so difficult.  Apple has no issues giving credits to people that have bought an item and had the price change withing 14 days of initial order.

I was able to get a hold of someone this morning without having them transfer me too many times.  Unfortunately Dell's order process isn't the best.  They can't credit me the difference between my order and what it would have cost had I waited till the end of the day on 12/15.  Of course not knowing they were gonna drop the price $180 I placed it when I could.  So now I have to ship the streak that is arriving at my house today back to Dell.  Wait 2 weeks to get a refund from my order then place a brand new order.

Hopefully with this new order it ships right away like it did this time and hopefully the price doesn't go back up to what it was during my time of having to wait for the refund.

I tried again this morning, the only changed was that my hold time increased.  The customer service when dealing with cost is HORRENDOUS!!!!  Some much for customer satisfaction.

Same issue. Very poor customer service. The fact that I have to return and reorder costing time and money is UNACCEPTABLE.  Dell is loosing money by not working this correctly.... I have not received my order and they cannot do anything???  I will be refusing delivery and I have not decided if I will replace one given it appears the Dell Streak may be Discontinued?  On top of things.... the roll out of 2.2 has been a mess!

Well I must say there are some people at Dell that do what they can to help.  Thank you Amy-B for all your help.  Its good to see that there are soem quality customer service people there. Thanks for your help with my issues.

You should wait another week, the Dell Streak maybe FREE!! at this rate...

Can't wait to get my iphone 4 and sell this Streak to some dummy on Ebay!! :emotion-2:
