Your system can support M.2 solid state drives. Although slot 2 can support both of NVMe and SATA, you would want to add a high performance PCIe Gen 3 x4 NVMe of your preferred capacity as it's about 5 times faster than SATA.
Spend just a little more and you can get 1 TB without paying double the cost. Depending on your market availability, Gen 4 SSD can also be used in place when pricing is lower.
