Actually I'm looking which one will be better to consume (CLI or Rest API).
Open Questions:
1. Does CLI supports all the features in Rest API. Which one will be recommended by EMC VIPR controller community?
2. Also require some docs on provisioning storage in RHEL with KVM (Type 2 hypervisor). When I gone through all the VIPR related docs, I couldn't find anything related to KVM.
It would be helpful if you share any information on this
1. No, API has ALL functionalities. CLI has probably 90%.
2. There is nothing specific to KVM provisioning in VIPR, at least you can do Block provisioning, then you rescan your host to discover the new volumes.
I was trying to do block provisioning for RHEL Linux host 6.5 by enabling KVM via VIPR. As a first step, I have added this Linux host and while discovering, it shows Discovery status as "Completed", however compatibility status as 'Incompatible'.

RH 6.5 is supported in matrix so maybe validate ViPR discovered the wwn's and try provisioning to it? If you got the green checkmark it will probably work.
