vsphere iscsi strangeness. Anyone see this before?

When an (Equallogic) iscsi volume is set to offline ALL vm's on that ESX server will stop upwards of 10 seconds. This completely disrupts all VM's on that server and connections to all VM's die.

Is this vSphere 4 that has this behavior?

Doing a quick search shows that this happens on other iSCSI SANs as well and appears to be an issue outside the box. Check out this thread for some more info, appears to be a VMware thing. Maybe put in a ticket and see what falls out? Let us know.
