Adding additional info to alarms (e-mail action)
Hi,
We will be using vFoglight to monitor various areas of our clients infrastructure and will be setting up in such a way that any alarms that are raised are e-mailed to the Service Desk who will in turn log calls with the appropriate team. The only issue I have is that dependant on what the alarm is or which rule it comes from will determine which support team it should be directed to. With that in mind, is there a way that I can put some additional info on each alarm e-mail action that will tell the Service Desk who to log the call with?

Hi Davie,
If your looking for a way to add some additional info on each alarm e-mai action, you may try as below:
Go to Dashboards | Administration | Rules & notifications | Rule Management.
For eg: VMW Virtula Machine memory swap.
Click on the rule -> View & edit -> Click Rule Editor.
Go to e-mail action tab.
Click on e-mail action.
Click mail.message.
Click User defined tab (This where your alarm message would be)
You can add you additional info above the alarm message.
Click Change.
