Foglight Management Server Monitoring
Hi there,
We have a server which houses both NMS and vFoglight...what are best recommendations for monitoring the monitor? i.e. if out management server falls over or is unresponsive, how are others checking for this scenarion?
Thanks

In general, the best approach to measure the availability of vFoglight or NMS or any other web application is to use the WebMonitor agent from the legacy OS cartridge.
If vFoglight is down then it won't be able to tell you that it's down however. One approach to get around this dilemma is to leverage the best practice deployment of separate management servers for Production and Pre-Production monitoring. In this scenario, you can use one management server to monitor the other.
