Optimizer-Storage & Thin provision
Okay I've been using VOPS for a bit, can anyone tell me why and or how I can get VOPS to look at the thin provisioning/actual usage vs the provisioned size?
And possibly get a report on the thin provisioning sizes?
Maybe a chart that showed the growth of the thin provisioning over a period of time? With alerts being able to be set when 90% of the lun was being actually used?

Hi Kyle,
You can see the thin provisioning on a datastore by going into Capacity Manager/Availability and looking at Datastore Statistics. You will see a "Committed" column. Sort by that, and it will show you your % committed - it is next to the column that is the % Utilized. You can schedule this as a report, just by clicking the Report button. You'll see the Committed column with percentages over 100%. That will tell you where yo u're using thin provisioning.
