about:blank.....ugh

Question

my home page keeps going to 'about:blank'....no matter how many times I scan my computer with 'hijackthis' , spybot, and adaware.  I even made a purchase of Spy Sweeper by Webroot.     How can this 'about:blank' be removed for good.............How can it be blocked???
