A quick look at your log shows that you are running 3 different Anti-Virus programs.
Here are the entries that indicate that:
C:\Program Files\F-Secure Internet Security\fswsclds.exe
C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe
C:\PROGRA~1\TRENDM~1\INTERN~1\Tmntsrv.exe
Please pick ONE Anti-Virus program to have installed in your computer. More than one will and does cause conflicts.
After you pick the one you want and uninstall the other two, post a new log.
thanks
Steve

Steve
I have deleted Norton Anti-Virus but am having problems with deleting F-Secure - it does not appear on the add/remove program list and and folder cannot be deleted becasue of 'access is denied' error messages. I have not used this program for a few months since the free subscription ran out and I now use the Trend Micro software.
How can the unused program be deleted before reposting another log?
Thanks
Chris

Let's delete that entry in Safe Mode.
You shouldn't have a problem deleteing the entry there.
Let me know?

Steve,
I tried getting my pc online and initially it didn't work but after trying Winsock Xp Fix again I can now browse the net without any problems. :smileyhappy:
Can you recommend any free anti virus software? My free trial is about to run out again!
Thanks for your help
Chris

I like AVG7 and you can get it from my signature links.
If you are happy with your computer now, as the log looks ok, do a disc cleanup.
