Yes its been heard of, many swear by it, and none seem to swear at it.  Another Idea may be to do an on-line virus scan by either Panda Software of PC-illen.   You could also try posting a HiJackThis log on the HijackThis forum.  Are your viruses signatures up to date?

yes, all my updates are in order.  my computer is only a few months old and i update or check for updates each day hoping a new one will be developed to wipe out this virus.  the hijackthis thing is way over my head and i am so afraid i'll ruin everything.  this has been a nightmare.

i've been using AVG for several years now (first version 6, then version 7), and have been very pleased with it.

see if the following helps you take care of your trojan.vundo problem (which is often associated with WinFixer):

Im using AVG to because when I reinstalled Windwos XP, I couldn't install Norton Antivirus 2005 for some odd reason. When my dad buys the 2006 version, I'm probably gonna go with that.

Hello,

I have heard nothing but good things about the free AVG software from other users.

Although I have not used it, I have heard nothing but good things about it.

Another program I have used and like is PC-cillin Internet Security. It has RAVE reviews on CNET and the like and it does not take up as much room as the two leading programs available.

I hope this helps.
