Hi

I bet this system is driving you batty......?

Be sure to look this solution over before you begin. There are a some item(s) i'm not familar with. If you recognze any, then just omit them from this fix.

Let's look for, and delete, any program segments( prefetches) that might be present, and are associated with the ' problems' we're trying to remove from this system. To do this, let's:

1) Click " Start | Search", then search for each of these program's base name(s), in all files and folders:

ntvdmn.exe*
winPE.exe*

2) Then if any are found in the ' prefetch' folder, delete them.

Look closely, since the ' base' name will have a bunch of random numbers and letters attached to it.

Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:

Bullseye Networks
Web Related

The above could appear anywhere within the entry. Be careful not to remove any personal or system software.


Next, Open a command prompt by:

1. Clicking " Start", then " Run...".
2. Enter " cmd" ( without the quotes).
3. Enter " services.msc" ( without the quotes).

Now, locate and ' stop' the following services, if present:

Network Virtual Daemon ... ( ntvdmn.exe)
ms ownage ... ( winPE.exe)

Look carefully, since the name of the service (above) can be anywhere in the entry; also be careful not to 'stop' any required system services.


Run HiJackThis then:

1. Click " Config..."
2. Click " Misc Tools"
3. Click " Open Process manager"

Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate ( if present) and click on ( highlight) each of the following:

C:\Program Files\WindowsSA\omniscient.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ntvdmn.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\winPE.exe

Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click " Kill process". Now, click " Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.

Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

Search for...
ntvdmn.exe
winPE.exe

...using " Start | Search...".

Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're ' in use', try deleting them from " Safe Mode".

Reboot and postback a new log, and let me know how everything goes.

Everything you told me to do worked out fine and got rid of the constant pop ups, but in place of the best offers network screen I am getting the page could not load screen and when i refresh it does load usally. It is not happening as bad as it was before with the best offers network screen, so it is a big upgrade. While thank you for spending the time to help me out.

Random pages that I go to. It can be anything from google to myspace. The screen that says page can not be found comes up about 3/4 as much as the best offers network. (Except when I hit refresh it does load the page) so if you know any reason why the page could not be found page would come up let me know and if not thanks for all of the help you have given me anyway you have made going online alot more barable for me than it was a couple of days ago.
