Cannot completely uninstall Hitman Pro (malware?)
I installed Hitman Pro for a one time scan - now it's lurking on my hard drive somewhere and won't go away. My system became unresponsive so I rebooted, and before the Windows XP loaded, Hitman Pro came on screen. I don't want this - and I can't find any additional uninstall options. I uninstalled with the vendor option.
No Events found!

When I originally installed it, I checked off the "No, I only want to perform a one-time scan to check this computer"
So I am really surprised that Hitman is installed somewhere on my hard drive.
However, it's worth a try to reinstall and remove as you suggest.

If you exit it and be sure that its not on your RAM, you should be able to uninstall it. Also remove it from start up.
