can't remove a virus and program on internet explorer

After running my virus protection software it found an infected file that it can not delete or repair. The file name is C:\ Program files\Common files\Slmss\slmss.exe

Can anyone help??

Also when I open Internet Explorer there's something called mirar coming up on the toolbar. What is this an how can I remove it??

I'm not very good at this stuff so any advice would be appreciated

However, if you use the tools in the first link supplied above, chances are that the mirar problem can be solved via those tools.
