Checking of Viruses in my Computer
Hello everyone. I don't have any anti virus installed in my laptop right now.
As far as I know, I don't have viruses problems too but I would just like to check if there are any viruses right now in my laptop. Because I am not really sure. Is there anyway to check it?
If there is, can you remove it for me?
Thanks. Your help and reply will be highly appreciated. :D

WHY don't you have any anti-virus installed on your laptop? --- There are some good FREE programs... so there's no real excuse for not having one.
Assuming you have a genuine copy of WIndows, and are a home (non-commercial) user, the simplest solution would be to download/install Microsoft Security Essentials http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials?WT.mc_id=MSCOM_EN_US_HP_SECURITYWORK_131Z4ENUS21979
(IF for any reason, it refuses to install, that could be an indication that your machine is infected, and the malware is blocking the installation...)
Assuming you can install it, run a FULL scan of your system/drives, to see what (if anything) it finds [and removes].

Oh, I will try this one. But the last time I am installing an anti virus in my laptop, it can't be installed. Thanks for this one. I will update you if it will work.
Thank you very much. :D

I'll keep an eye on this thread for any future response from you.
If, as you said "the last time I am installing an anti virus in my laptop, it can't be installed", and the same happens now with Microsoft Security Essentials, it's most likely an indication that EITHER:
1) You had another anti-virus installed on your computer, which wasn't completely removed... and its remnants are blocking installation of a replacement anti-virus, or
2) You have a current/active virus/malware infection on your computer, that's blocking installation of a new anti-virus.
IF it comes to that, I'll offer a suggestion as to how you should then proceed.

jazel,
ky331 has made a good point. Those are the reasons why an AV cannot be installed.
Are you also having a problem running online scans as well?
Try this one:
http://www.eset.eu/online-scanner
This scan works best with IE. Alternate browsers require downloading and installing the ESET Smart Installer.
• Accept the Terms of Use:
• Approve the install of the required ActiveX Control, then follow on-screen instructions.
* Disable the protection of your resident anti-virus program after installing the
active X control that Eset has installed and again when you actually start scanning.
• Make sure enable (check) the Remove found threats option is checked, and run the scan.
• After the scan completes, the Details tab in the Results window will display what was found and removed. A record of these results will be found here: C:\program files\esetonlinescanner\log.txt. Please include a copy of that log in your next reply.
This online scan may take quite a bit of time to complete so please be patient. If necessary, allow the scan to run overnight. Please do not use the machine to do anything else (e.g. browse; check email; chat) until the scan completes.
** ESET Online Scanner works in Windows Vista and Windows 7, provided you
first start Internet Explorer as an Administrator. To do so,
right-click on the Internet Explorer icon in the Start Menu and select
"Run as administrator" from the popup context menu.
