Computer is always locking up HighjackThis log included

Question

Running Windows XP and am having lots of severe locking up to the point that the only way to shut down is by pressing the power button.  Can't do much at all anymore.  I downloaded Malwarebytes anti-malware and it did find quite a lot.  I also used my diagnostics because I thought it may be a memory problem and everything came back fine there too.  I did a harddrive check and it did find some problems and fixed them but the problem still persists.  Below is my highjackthis log. I'm sorry we could not get to you sooner. If you are still having problems, please post some additional information about what is happening in your machine.

Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
- DDS.scr
- DDS.pif
Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool.
Click Yes at the prompt for Optional Scan.
When done, DDS will open two (2) logs
1. DDS.txt
2. Attach.txt
Save both reports to your desktop.
Copy/paste both logs to your reply on the forum.
Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet. Information on A/V control HERE.
