Computer Shutting down within Seconds
I assume its a virus, but my pc shuts off before it boots or goes into Windows XP at all.
Sometime it allows me into the setupo but only for a sencond or two, no time to make changes.
So, to me it appears something in the BIoS isd toasted.
Its a Latitude LS. I cant find anything to allow some sort of reset to the bios without going into setup.
I've also tried booting to XP install cd, but again it shuts of before it ever starts this.
Anyone have an idea or two.

If it does this when booting to the winXP CD then it can't be a virus. At that stage no virus could be loaded into memory. (I assume that this is with the CD as the first boot device).
As such I would advice posting in the hardware section of the forum for the Latitude, as the hardware experts may have some ideas.
