Dang Aurora spy/adware!
This is the first time I've posted to a forum, but this Aurora adware/spyware seems to be a particularly persistent one, and I'd like any help I can get to rid my computer of this nuisance! Not sure how I got it...I'm usually VERY skeptical about opening/responding/etc. to ANYTHING that I don't have express knowledge about who it's from, etc.
I've had trouble with my Norton SystemWorks (tried to update to 2005 using the internet download version from Symantec, but am unable to install it, hence I have no protection right now and can't re-install the 2004 version). I ran the virus scanner online from Symantec, found the adware, and subsequently downloaded the Microsoft Anti-Spyware program. I've run the program more than 15 times, found the Aurora (in addition to other "betterInternet" spies), and have run the program to remove the threats. No such luck....comes back every time. From what I've read, this is exactly how Aurora works, so.........HELP??
