dimension 2400, Error message dump physical memory
Help, my 2400 starts up with Windows XP, when you click on user box a lovely blue screen appears with a message as follows:
A problem has been detected. Windows has been shut down.
Check for adequate disk space. If driver is identified in STOP message, disable driver.
STop. 0x0000008f
Beginning dump of physical memory.
Physical memory dump complete.
Can someone tell me what this is? HOw do I correct it?

This would not be a malware - you should try the windows XP or one of the hardware boards for assistance.
Things I would try (I am not a hardware expert) is to reseat the memory and other cards on the mother board (disconnect the power first) and check the hard drive for faults and free space.
