Direct error on dxdiag
I found out while playing Doom3 online, that when I shut down my pc a direct X file called system.dll was missing but i looked beneath that file to see it there, Doom 3 was ptached to version 1.3.1
I got mods, I installed Microsoft Sliverlight, installed then removed Gametap. i had directX9c when first had PC even update it.
I could post a diag here if you like, just want to make sure it's not something bad picked up from that online game.
Even did a scan disk no errors.
Last good known compatiblilty mode.
Tried to installed direct X from game cd even updated again.

I used that Microsoft link to update Direct X, still had the error.
So I remove all old Java and Microsoft Frame net from pc.
Then reinstall direct X
Then add the Microsft frame net
Is that it ?:smileyindifferent:

When i try to install direct X to the link it saids, please type the location where you
want to place the extracted files.
but the error message in dxdiag is gone, should i make a new location for direct x or just reinstall without updating direct x since i went back to intel gma 900 for a bit that was on my pc first.

I must of downloaded a bad copy from Microsoft web site, In future I will stick to Windows Update.
Here is how you can do it.
Left-click Start
Left-click Run
type "REGEDIT" without the quotes and then hit ok or press ENTER
go to the following key location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectX\Mana gedDirectXVersion
As you navigate through the Registry editor, each of the parts above are essentially what look like subfolders, as if you were in Windows Explorer. This is the registry though.
In any case, when you get to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectX \" look for the "ManagedDirectXVersion" folder. If "ManagedDirectXVersion" exists, delete it.
Do not delete anything else but the ManagedDirectXVersion folder.
