DNS problems
I have started to have serious problems with DNS translation. Symptoms:
Using IE6, many pages come up with "Page not found." If I try the page several times, I may eventually get it.
Another error when trying to get a page is "Network failed." IE6 is affected worse than Opera.
Even Pop mail is affected, often giving an error: "DNS failed."
I thought it might be Qhosts trojan, but doesn't appear to be that. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks, Linda

cma6j, hi and welcome.
It could be that your ISP is having DNS problems. There is an alternate DNS application that you can run called TreeWalk. I used it with my previous ISP as their DNS servers were very slow but this ISP's DNS servers are fast.
Have a look at TreeWalk http://ntcanuck.com/index.htm

Then try Bind-LE http://ntcanuck.com/downloads.htm
Even though it indicates it is BETA it works great on my old WinME 200MHZ MMX laptop.
