There is a program available that can show if you have a Rootkit problem.

As an interesting aside: It seems that ONLY people who run NAV/NORTON/SYMANTEC bloatware seem to be HIT by this!
I would make certain that what you are experiencing is NOT a false alarm. I somehow strongly suspect that it is indeed a false alarm in your case.
Let's not rush to judgement however, please still continue with these instructions until we can make sure you are clean.
After you've run the TrendMicro removal tool, run the RootKit Revealer and post that log back here in this thread. Thanks!
