having trouble setting up a dial up connection
hi, I tried to connect to internet the other day and someone has got on here and deleted something. So i called my provider and they tried walking me thru setting up a dial up connection again by opening explorier, clicking tools, internet options, connections, then setup but when it got to, set up a dial up connection it was'nt available and she said i needed to reset to default settings. Is this what i need to do? And if yes how, i tried system restore, reinstalling modem with the disk, nothing. If someone could help it would be greatly appreicated. Its a dell 2200 running xp and the modem is a v.92 56k. Please help, this pc is fairly new and i cant even get on internet and enjoy. Thanks again

Hi
does not at the moment sound like a virus problem - more of a settings problem - please post here

and the experts on that board will help.
