HELP HELP HELP

Question

My compter will not load past the 'your computer was resarted without being properly shut down - would you like to start in safe mode' page. all it does is reboot itself over and over again. I don't care if I lose anything on it I just want to get it up and running again. Do I have a virus? What can I do to fix it? HELP!!!!

OK that has happened to me before and sadly I can't remember how I solved it besides calling Dell in India and having them help me.

You really need to post this in the Windows forum, If my memory serves me correct, this was not a difficult thing to fix, I only with I remembered the way I did it. Be that as it may, this still is the wrong forum for that.

Hi there,   I had this problem also, with a guy down the road from me! Didn't bother doin much reseach as they too didn't care if they lost everthing! A re-install of windows xp sorted the problem though.   Sorry I can't be anymore help.

did you install a new program just before it started happening. if so try to get into safe mode and deleting that program

also try shutting of the computer and unplugging everything except the keyboard and mouse and monitor and reboot and see if that helps i am shooting in the dark on this one!! steve

i can't install anything or erase anything the computer in safe mode just reboots itself over and over again.  it will do this for hours.  I can't get to any other screne.
