Download and run HiJackThis version 1.98.2. Click "Scan" then "Save log". Copy/paste the text that comes up in NotePad, back to this thread. Don't try and 'fix' anything just yet, since most of what it reports is 'good'. We'll use that to get a snapshot of your system and see if we can weed out the problems.

Click on this link, then save HiJackThis to your system (preferably in C:\HJT), if it's zipped,then unzip it. Now, run it, click "Scan", then click "Save log". When the text comes up, 'select all', then right-click the selected text and click "Copy". Now "reply" to this thread and right-click in the message body and select 'paste'. Don't fix anything just yet, as most of what it reports is good.

Thanks I got most of it fixed! just now my norton anti virus is acting wierd! it wont let me update anything ( keeps telling me that I have not updated ) and my renewal date is  12/30/1899????
