What kind of problems are you having? The log doesn't look too bad.

Please Move HijackThis! To A Permanent Folder

When you installed HijackThis, it installed to a temporary folder. Creating a permanent folder will ensure that HijackThis is not accidentally deleted when we clean out these directories.

1. Click on "My Computer -> C:". Under the File menu, please click "New -> Folder"
2. Rename the new folder (for example, type "HJT" without the quotes) and move the HijackThis.exe file into the new directory.

Run hijackThis again and check the box next to the following entries:
O16 - DPF: Inquisit by Millisecond Software - file://C:\DOCUME~1\MARYJE~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP000.TMP\InquisitAx.cab

Here is my 2nd log after deleting as you instructed. I'm still having problems with the PC. I had to restore back to Sunday. When the desktop comes up there are no icons or taskbar unless I restore it back to another day.

I just ran a McAfee scan and it found 4 files of :

No, It was working for awhile. I looked up the files that the scan came up with & deleted them. Was online for awhile & then I rebooted & I now cannot get on the internet or any other windows file. It's almost like my firewall & antivirus program isn't working properly & is keeping me out of my PC. The firewall comes on the taskbar & blinks like it's running & then it shuts itself off & I cannot connect to any program after that. I wonder if I should uninstall my EZ Armor & see if that helps. I've got McAfee Suite to install. What should I do?

The Exploit-ByteVerify is a trojan. Was McAfee not able to remove it? Emptying your temp files should remove it. Run CCLeaner:

Download and scan with CCleaner
1. Starting with v1.27.260, CCleaner installs the Yahoo Toolbar as an option which IS checkmarked by default during the installation. IF you do NOT want it, REMOVE the checkmark when provided with the option OR download the toolbarfree Basic version instead of the Standard Build.

2. Before first use, select Options > Advanced and UNCHECK " Only delete files in Windows Temp folder older than 48 hours"

3. Then select the items you wish to clean up.

In the Windows Tab:
Clean all entries in the "Internet Explorer" section. *Note*
Checking "Cookies" will remove problem spyware cookies and help to speed up other spyware/adware/malware scans.
This will mean however, the next time you click on a web page where you have signed in before, you will have to re-enter your user I.D. and password.

Clean all the entries in the "Windows Explorer" section.
Clean all entries in the "System" section.
Clean all entries in the "Advanced" section.
Clean any others that you choose.

In the Applications Tab:
Clean all in the Firefox/Mozilla section if you use it.
Clean all in the Opera section if you use it.
Clean Sun Java in the Internet Section.
Clean any others that you choose.
4. Click the " Run Cleaner" button.
5. A pop up box will appear advising this process will permanently delete files from your system.
6. Click " OK" and it will scan and clean your system.
7. Click " exit" when done.

The file "WRLogonNTF.dll" is fine...it relates to WebRoot's SpySweeper software.

The three items I asked you to remove have reappeared in the log due to your windows defender running. You can either disable the software and run the HijackThis again to remove those items, or boot into safe mode to remove them.

There's no need to uninstall your firewall. Just check the firewall's program control settings to see that access is granted where it's needed.

I did move hijack into my documents only because I couldn't figure the new folder out. I think I have it now. I will disable or uninstall Defender. It doesn't work well anyway.

What I mean by cannot get into anything is explorer, programs,(my documents, accessories to restore, etc.) The only way I can do any of your instructions is in safe mode or restore. Should I delete the missing file? I don't have spysweeper anymore, it's a leftover file. I just purchased McAfee from Dell to replace EZ Armor. When should I install this?

I really appreciate your help with this. I didn't have any problems with the free trial McAfee until it expired & I installed Road Runners Suite. I couldn't delete from McAfee cause I used a trial scan off of the Dell website just to see what was in my PC. When I install McAfee I will be able to have more control.

Do not perform a system restore. We need to determine what's wrong with your windows explorer that you can't get to your documents.

Please post back and tell me exactly what happens when you do this:
Click start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->Windows Explorer

Programs>Accessories>Windows Explorer results: nothing/the hourglass came up for 2 seconds & shut off. I didn't mention either that when I cannot get on any programs the PC won't shut off from the Start/shutdown menu. I have to manually shut it off. I use the bottom task bar "click on e"
What I meant was when I cannot get on explorer, my document, control panel etc is when the PC won't shut down normally.
 
But, just to let you know after uninstalling Defender & cleaning the log & CCleaner the PC seems to be working fine. I rebooted 3 times last nite & it came up very fast & could open any program.
I shut it down last nite & turned on this a.m. & it's working. Yeah!!
I'm still going to uninstall EZ Armor & install McAfee. If there's anything else you can think of I need to do, just let me know.

Congratulations, your log looks clean! Below is my standard blurb that I include with my final post to anyone that posts a hjt log. You can extract from it whatever applies in your case. You might find some of this information and software useful.

Now that your system is clean, let's create a new restore point.
Please click "Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore"
In the new window, check the 'Create a restore point' in the right pane and click "Next".
In the "Restore point description" textbox, name your restore point to something you will easily recognize. I recommend something like yyyymmdd_Clean (ex. 20060101_Clean)
Click "Create" and reboot your computer.

In the future, there are some things you can do to prevent spyware infections:

Install the following freeware programs:
SpywareGuard
Spywareblaster

Keep your anti-virus and spyware definitions up to date. Be sure to scan often.

If you do not have a firewall, here are a couple freeware firewalls you can install:
Kerio Personal Firewall
Zone Alarm


Stay updated with the most recent Windows patches using
Microsoft's Windows Update.

Using an alternate browser can reduce your chance of certain infections installing themselves. We recommend installing Mozilla Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org

If you still wish to use Internet Explorer, please make sure you install SpywareBlaster (from above) to protect you from most ActiveX infections.

Run CCleaner often
or Disk Cleanup ("Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup" ) and check off the following:
Downloaded Program Files, Temporary Internet Files, Recycle Bin, and Temporary Files

So how did I get infected in the first place?
