Hi
When you say bandwidth is being used when no programs are running can you explain what you mean?

Are you saying that you have low system resourses when nothing is running or you D/L or U/L speeds are slow?

In the meantime let's make these few changes:

Be sure to look this solution over before you begin. There are a some item(s) i'm not familar with. If you recognze any, then just omit them from this fix.

We'll need to unload Spybot's Teatimer before we begin. To do this, right-click on the icon in the quick launch toolbar at the bottom on the screen, then select " Exit".

The version of Internet Explorer your currently using might be out of date, since there's no indication of a version in the header. Be sure to check for, and upgrad to the newest version as soon as possible, it necessary.

Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:

Web Related

The above could appear anywhere within the entry. Be careful not to remove any personal or system software.

Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.dell4me.com/mywaybiz
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.dell4me.com/mywaybiz
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.dell4me.com/mywaybiz
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.dell4me.com/mywaybiz
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C8B2A36-3DB1-42A4-A3CB-D426709BBFEB} - (no file)
O9 - Extra button: Related - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Show &Related Links - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm

Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".

Reboot and post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.
