Ok let's get going

First go into your Control Panel -Add/Remove Programs and see if there are any progams with these words in their name.. I don't think you will find them but look anyway. If they are there REMOVE them.

unlodctl
nlsfuncs
openconf

Now put a check next to these entries in your HJT program.
These programs do generate popups.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\unlodctl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nlsfuncs.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\openconf.exe

Now with ALL other applications closed except HJT, hit the FIX button.

Reboot and post a new log.

idontcare,

See if you can locate the following file(s) on your harddrive, using windows explorer:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\unlodctl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nlsfuncs.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\openconf.exe

If so, right-click on the entry(s), and select "Properties". Post back information on the following:

Comments
Company
Internal Name
Original File Name
Product

-

Make sure you can view hiddena and system files/ folders.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\unlodctl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nlsfuncs.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\openconf.exe

and i looked at my programs, and i dont have any of the ones you listed

idontcare,

I'd believe that.

-

Let's do this...

1. Post back a new HiJackThis log? Let's see if this thing is 'growing'.

2. Do a "Start | Search..." for the following:

   a.*unlodctl*

*nlsfuncs*

c  *openconf*

Let's see if we have any sitting in in the prefetch folder.

3.  Check " Scheduled Tasks" and post back what's scheduled to run.

What was the results of the online scan from www.trendmicro.com?

Mike.

ok i was manually able to delete those

the symantec virus scan i am running is online, and it wont clean up files for me, it just shows me what is on my computer, so i cant run it on startup after i disable system restore to clean them up

i will run the trendmicro in a second and let you know the results, along with a new hijack this log
