Before we do anything can you do a couple things first?
Go to this sight
http://www.trendmicro.com/en/home/us/enterprise.htm and do an online scan and delete whatever it finds. Be sure to highlight the drives you want to have searched.
After that could you please go to
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html and download AdAwareSE and delete what it finds. Then while using AdAware, click on add-ons and get their plug-in for the VX2 variant, and run that and delete what it finds.
After that go to
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html and download SpyBot and run that and delete what it finds.
Now go to
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html and download the new version of HiJackThis to its own folder that you create on your C:/ drive.
After it is downloaded open the program and click on the Scan button.
When that is done, click on Save to log.
Post the log that it generates right here so that it maybe viewed and analyzed for problems.

First, go to www.trendmicro.com and click "Free Online Scan". When it's down, select all available drives, then click "Scan".
Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) then following, if present:
WinPack
NavExcel
Now, let's run HiJackThis, then:
1. click " Config..."
2. click " Misc Tools"
3. click " Delete a file on reboot"
4. browse to, then double-click on each of the file(s) below, one at a time:
C:\Program Files\NavExcel\NavHelper\v2.0.4d\navapp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\kbdtuf.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\winpack.exe
C:\Program Files\NavExcel Search Toolbar\NavExcelBar.dll
5. when prompted to " Reboot Now", after selecting each file, select " No"
(It's ok if some of these aren't found. The online scan mightv'e picked them off.)
Now, let's open a command prompt and unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:
regsvr32 /u NavExcelBar.dll
It's ok, if these aren't found or 'error' out. If you want, just copy and paste the individual lines to a command prompt to save on the typing.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: Helper Class - {D80C4E21-C346-4E21-8E64-20746AA20AEB} - C:\Program Files\NavExcel Search Toolbar\NavExcelBar.dll
O3 - Toolbar: NavExcel Toolbar - {5AA06644-BC46-4220-A460-47A6EB47C96D} - C:\Program Files\NavExcel Search Toolbar\NavExcelBar.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [navapp] C:\Program Files\NavExcel\NavHelper\v2.0.4d\navapp.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [kbdtuf] C:\WINDOWS\System32\kbdtuf.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [winpack] C:\WINDOWS\System32\winpack.exe
O16 - DPF: {1D0D9077-3798-49BB-9058-393499174D5D} - file://c:\counter.cab
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".
-
Reboot your computer.
Post back a new log along with the results from the online scan.
Mike.
