But Im not sure if i did this correctly. When I tried to open fix.reg i got an error message that said This specified file is not a registery script. But on the bright side Since I restarted I have not had a pop up!!! ;)
Can you tell me how to get my puter to make restore points without me doing them manually?

2) Then if any are found in the '

Run
HiJackThis then:
1. Click "

3. Click "

Next, while holding down the

Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "

Run
HiJackThis and click "
Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present ...
(Unless you've set these with a anti-spyware program like SpyBot'sImmunize feature, have HiJackThis fix this.)

Let's start by trying to get rid of the Elite Toolbar.
Please download to desktop but don't run yet:
WinsockXPFix
Copy the text inside the 'Code' box to Notepad, and save in a location of your choice as Fix.reg (make sure you save as type: 'all files')
Code:REGEDIT4
________________________________________________________________________________________
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\LQ]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ohbbackup]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Elitum]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"antiware"=-
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\UserAgent\Post Platform]
"iebar"=-
__________________________________________________________________________________
Reboot into Safe Mode, then use the up/down arrows to select safe mode
Manually find and delete :
- the ENTIRE contents of the C:\Documents and Settings\Insert YourUserName here\Local Settings\Temp folder
- any/all of these, if found:
C:\Windows\EliteToolBar
C:\Windows\EliteSideBar
C:\Windows\EliteBar
C:\Windows\System32\Error.dat
C:\Windows\System32\eliteerror32.dat
NOTE: To avoid the risk of any of the above not being found due to them
having the 'Hidden' attribute, show all files as follows:
Click Start.
Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.
Now go to Start > Run, and type Cmd then press Enter > The Command window opens.
If no commandprompt window opens, go to
Start
AllPrograms
Accessories
CommandPrompt
Copy the following line:
DEL /F /Q "%windir%\system32\elite***32.exe"
RIGHTclick your mouse in the Command Window. The line you've copied
will get pasted into the command window. Subsequently press the ENTER
button.
*********************************************
Now Doubleclick Fix.reg you saved earlier, and answer yes when prompted to add its contents to the Registry.
Now run WinsockXPFix
you're done, start your computer normally, and post a fresh hijackthis log.

Is it still visible on your Toolbar? If it is, please try the about outlined fix one more time.
If it isn't, please let me know and I will continue.
Restore points, if set to do so, will periodically set restore points everyday in your system.
To enable this click on the Start>>>>Programs>>>Accessories>>>System Tools>>>System Restore.
On the left side of the box is a System Restore settings option. Click on that and make sure that the system restore box is checked.

Let's do this from Safe Mode
-
Be sure to look this solution over before you begin. There are a some item(s) i'm not familar with. If you recognze any, then just omit them from this fix.
We'll need to unload Spybot's Teatimer before we begin. To do this, right-click on the icon in the quick launch toolbar at the bottom on the screen, then select " Exit".
Let's look for, and delete, any program segments( prefetches) that might be present, and are associated with the ' problems' we're trying to remove from this system. To do this, let's:
1) Click " Start | Search", then search for each of these program's base name(s), in all files and folders:
ZMgCFkRN.exe*
2) Then if any are found in the ' prefetch' folder, delete them.
Look closely, since the ' base' name will have a bunch of random numbers and letters attached to it.
Run HiJackThis then:
1. Click " Config..."
2. Click " Misc Tools"
3. Click " Open Process manager"
-
Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate ( if present) and click on ( highlight) each of the following:
C:\PROGRA~1\ttquqttt\ZMgCFkRN.exe
Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click " Kill process". Now, click " Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

... (Unless you've set these with a anti-spyware program like SpyBot's Immunize feature, have HiJackThis fix this.)
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".
Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders:
folders...
C:\PROGRA~1\ttquqttt
-
Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're ' in use', try deleting them from " Safe Mode".
Post back a new log, and let me know how everthing goes?
