I did run spybot and adaware before I got the hijack this log.

Not with the settings I suggested though - or half of this world be missing. Did you get Spybot v1.2 or the new spybot v1.3 (only out in the last 3 days)

It also looks line McAfee wished to clean up after a reboot at some time - you should have rebooted the machine for it.

Thank you for your help.  I am not sure that I did all that you said to on the last email but I tried to follow your instructions.  I was using Spybot 1.2 and now I have run Spybot 1.3 and Adaware.  Here is the new Hijackthis log.  What do I delete?  Have I gotten rid of the pepper infection?

I assume that all those lines mentioned as 'random baddies' were unknown to you, as you don't mention them as being legit.

unzip the folder to your desktop (the files must not be directly on your desktop - the folder with then in can)

Run the killbox.exe file inside that folder
copy these lines one at a time in to the box and choose 'kill file' button

C:\WINDOWS\System32\cnevi12n.exe

(this one needs the proper full names - use the browse button to find the file)

Exit the killbox.

Then without rebooting

Try the hijackthis log in safe mode (F8 at boot).

Check these in hijackthis, AND WITH ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED, fix checked.

Then delete the following files/folders:-

Then Reboot and post a fresh log for me to check.

One other thought is that this last item is changing its name each time you boot your machine. So you may need to boot your machine - do the hijackthis log - workout YOURSELF what the new file is called - to use the killbox and try to manually delete it and any others of these that reappear. And then clear the hijackthis log following - ALL before a reboot.
