Don't see anything really major bad in your log.  WhenUSave should be removed but otherwise it looks normal.

To get rid of McAfee:

Start, Run, services.msc, OK

find  McAfee WSC Integration (McDetect.exe)

and double click then change the Startup Type: to Disabled then Apply and Stop the service.

Repeat for:

McAfee Task Scheduler (McTskshd.exe)

 McAfee SecurityCenter Update Manager (mcupdmgr.exe)

Close the services window.

Download the killbox:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/killbox.php

Unzip it to your desktop but don't run it.

Shutdown and Restart and Boot into Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key when you see
the PC maker's logo.
Keep tapping until it tells you it is going to Safe Mode or you see the Safe
Mode menu. Select the top option. Log in as your usual login or you won't find
the programs you put on the desktop
and some of the entries we want to remove will not appear in HijackTHis.

Run HijackThis and just do a Scan only. Check  then Fix Checked the following:

F3 - REG:win.ini: load=
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MCAgentExe] c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\agent\mcagent.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MCUpdateExe] C:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\agent\McUpdate.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WhenUSave] "C:\Program Files\Save\Save.exe"
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe

O23 - Service: McAfee WSC Integration (McDetect.exe) - McAfee, Inc - c:\program files\mcafee.com\agent\mcdetect.exe
O23 - Service: McAfee Task Scheduler (McTskshd.exe) - McAfee, Inc - c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\agent\mctskshd.exe
O23 - Service: McAfee SecurityCenter Update Manager (mcupdmgr.exe) - McAfee, Inc - C:\PROGRA~1\McAfee.com\Agent\mcupdmgr.exe

Run killbox.  Open Options and check Remove Directories
Where it says Full Path of File to Delete you need to type or copy (Hightlight
and Ctrl + c)
and Paste (move to the killbox and place the cursor in the box and Ctrl + V):

c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com

Then check the Delete on Reboot box then the red button.
It will say:  File Will Be Removed On Reboot, Do you want to reboot Now.
Tell it NO.  (If it can't find it that's OK just go on to the next one)

Repeat for:

C:\Program Files\Save

but tell it Yes this time.

Reboot into regular mode and run a new log and post it as a reply.

Start, Run, sigverif, OK and when the new program opens press Start.  When it finishes then look for wininet.dll.  If it is not there what files does it find?  (If a lot just give me a few random selections from the .dll, .exe, and .sys files.

Start, Run, sfc /scannow, OK

Does it finish without complaint?

Ron
