newdotnet was half installed, it in now fully installed, so you will need to visit that site again and run the uninstall instructions again to remove it fully.

Ok, I tried removing newdotnet again and inside the windows folder there are like 6 different uninstalls for it...do i use each one or what? And also the cws shredder link doesn't work. thanks

This is after doing the unistall directly off of the website (procedure 4). DIdn't do the cwshredder because it doens't work.

The uninstall has not worked.

Try using add/remove programs from control panel, find the newdotnet entry, and tell it to uninstall.

We can't use hijackthis to delete these lines as that will cause you to lose access to the net.

Then post a new hijackthis log for me to check.

It was suggested that one/both these may be able to remove it, so give them a try.

Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware

1) SpyBot Search and Destroy
After installing SpyBot Search & Destroy, first press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.
Next, close all Internet Explorer windows, hit 'Check for Problems', have SpyBot remove all the items it marks in red.

2) Get Ad-Aware
After installing Ad-Aware, and before running the program, first press “check for updates now".
Click "Connect" and install all updated components available. Click 'Finish'.
Press "Scan Now", then 'next', and let Ad-Aware scan your drives.
It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys. Click 'Next' again.
Check all found items, and click 'next' once more.
It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

Always reboot the computer between each program - both of these may find things that they need to have a reboot of the machine to clear - please reboot and let them finish .

Well the only problem is is that its not in the Add/Remove Programs area. But when I go into the Windows folder there are 8 different uninstall icons for it. What should I do now?
