"A recent combat against banned poker software and cheating online players is the use of DLL injection by larger poker rooms such as Party Poker to detect this BOT like software. Poker rooms are allowed to do this on their own software but can not do so on Java. These llh.dll injections by the poker room capture information about what programs you are running and then sends them back to the poker servers or websites. The poker rooms then take this information to see if you are running banned software to cheat the system such as Poker Edge or Poker Prophecy. Some players say this is a violation of privacy and are employing their own blockers of this DLL such as Anti-hook. In any case the owner of Java poker clients can not run the DLL files to capture your information because it is protected by the Java runtime sandbox model. It's really a privacy versus security issue. Some players would rather block these DLLs from spying on them and some users like the fact that poker rooms are employing these methods in their ongoing effort to get rid of cheaters."
Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly - much appreciated! So does this mean that these files are of no danger to me or my computer and were in no way responsible for my recent problems? I assume then that the odd 'popping' sound I hear is these 'security' systems checking up on me? It does feel like a bit of a violation, but if it stops cheats then I'm not so bothered, as long as they're not able to view personal information (passwords, accounts, etc). Or can they? I might have words with Party Poker anyway, as I feel there should be some clear warning on their site to let people know this is going on!
That's about all I know on the subject. Have no idea what information they can get. If you install Zone Alarm you can probably keep them from talking and then you can see if you can still get on.
If you want to make them vanish from the desktop you can right click on them and under properties check Hidden then OK. IF they don't go away you can rightclick on Start and select Explore and Tools, Folder Options, View, and check where it says to Do Not Show Hidden Files and Folders. OK.

The files are from Party Poker. If you insist on having it on your PC I think you will have to live with them.
