Save the file to your desktop and
double clickl2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop.
Double clickl2mfix.bat and select
option #1 for Run
Find Log by
typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log.
Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
It'll take a few minutes to download (especially with a dialup connection), so be patient. When it's down:
1. Select all available drives.
2. Check(tick) "
Auto Clean".
3. Click "
Scan".
When it completes, post back the full filename of any files that cannot be cleaned or deleted.
Download, unzip to your desktop
CWShredder and run it, then:
1. Click "
Check For Update"
(
If an update isn't available, skip to step #4.)
2. Click "
Click here to Download the upate".
3. When the new version has been downloaded, click "
Save".
4. Click "
Fix ->"
Let's look for, and delete, any program segments(
prefetches) that might be present, and are associated with the '
problems' we're trying to remove from this system. To do this, let's:
1) Click "
Start | Search", then search for each of these program's
base name(s), in all files and folders:
*vriqio* *hottcprx*
2) Then if any are found in the '
prefetch' folder, delete them.
Look closely, since the '
base' name will have a bunch of random numbers and letters attached to it.
Go to
Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:
Deals Online Delfin Media Viewer
The above could appear anywhere within the entry. Be careful not to remove any
personal or
system software.
Download
LSPFix and unzip to your desktop, then run it. Now, we need to:
1. check(tick) "
I know what i'm doing".
2. click on (highlight) each occurance of the following, one at a time:
dolsp.dll
3. then click "
>>", moving each one, individually, to the 'Remove' pane.
4.
(double-check, and make sure that only the above files are in the 'Remove'pane.) 5. click "
Finish >>"
Run
HiJackThis then:
1. Click "
Config..."
2. Click "
Misc Tools"
3. Click "
Open Process manager"
-
Next, while holding down the
CTRL key, locate (
if present) and click on (
highlight) each of the following:
Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "
Kill process". Now, click "
Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.
Now, let's open a
command prompt and unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:
regsvr32 /u stlb2.dll
It's ok, if these aren't found or 'error' out. If you want, just copy and paste the individual lines to the command prompt to save on the typing.
Run
HiJackThis and click "
Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're '
in use', try deleting them from "
Safe Mode".
Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.
Mike, first I just want to thank you so much for taking the time to help me, I really appreciate it. I can't believe how wonderful this forum is, especially for someone like me who has no idea what they are doing, anyway I started with the instructions you sent, I am completing each 1 step at a time however I was also posting my data on a new reply to this message, unfortunately I neglected to send it before I rebooted and lost it, so now I am still trying to complete each step but have little to post so far. We're almost there; just a few more steps to go. I'll post this solution for you, but before you do it, can you post back the logs created the first time you ran l2me.bat, so I can review them?
-
We'll need to unload (not uninstall)
Intermute's SpySubtract, since it might interfere with other program(s) we might be using to 'clean' off your system.
Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.
-
From the
l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click
l2mfix.bat and select option #
2 for
Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!
Run

Hello! and welcome to the Dell forums.
-
We've got multiple infection(s) to deal with, so take you time, and if you have any questions, please post back.
Let's get started...
Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:
Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
Go to www.trendmicro.com, and then:
1. Click " Free Online Scan".
2. Click " Scan now, it's free".
It'll take a few minutes to download (especially with a dialup connection), so be patient. When it's down:
1. Select all available drives.
2. Check(tick) " Auto Clean".
3. Click " Scan".
When it completes, post back the full filename of any files that cannot be cleaned or deleted.
Download, unzip to your desktop CWShredder and run it, then:
1. Click " Check For Update"
( If an update isn't available, skip to step #4.)
2. Click " Click here to Download the upate".
3. When the new version has been downloaded, click " Save".
4. Click " Fix ->"
Let's look for, and delete, any program segments( prefetches) that might be present, and are associated with the ' problems' we're trying to remove from this system. To do this, let's:
1) Click " Start | Search", then search for each of these program's base name(s), in all files and folders:
*vriqio*
*hottcprx*
2) Then if any are found in the ' prefetch' folder, delete them.
Look closely, since the ' base' name will have a bunch of random numbers and letters attached to it.
Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:
Deals Online
Delfin Media Viewer
The above could appear anywhere within the entry. Be careful not to remove any personal or system software.
Download LSPFix and unzip to your desktop, then run it. Now, we need to:
1. check(tick) " I know what i'm doing".
2. click on (highlight) each occurance of the following, one at a time:
dolsp.dll
3. then click " >>", moving each one, individually, to the 'Remove' pane.
4. (double-check, and make sure that only the above files are in the 'Remove'pane.)
5. click " Finish >>"
Run HiJackThis then:
1. Click " Config..."
2. Click " Misc Tools"
3. Click " Open Process manager"
-
Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate ( if present) and click on ( highlight) each of the following:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\wsxsvc\wsxsvc.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vmss\vmss.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vriqio.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Dtqrsb.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\hottcprx.exe
Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click " Kill process". Now, click " Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.
Now, let's open a command prompt and unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:
regsvr32 /u stlb2.dll
It's ok, if these aren't found or 'error' out. If you want, just copy and paste the individual lines to the command prompt to save on the typing.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

We're almost there; just a few more steps to go. I'll post this solution for you, but before you do it, can you post back the logs created the first time you ran l2me.bat, so I can review them?
-
We'll need to unload (not uninstall) Intermute's SpySubtract, since it might interfere with other program(s) we might be using to 'clean' off your system.
Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.
-
From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option # 2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 auto.search.msn.com
O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 search.netscape.com
O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 ieautosearch
O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 ieautosearch
O20 - Winlogon Notify: ShellCompatibility - C:\WINDOWS\system32\o4nsle571h.dll
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".
Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders:
files...
C:\WINDOWS\system32\o4nsle571h.dll
-
Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're ' in use', try deleting them from " Safe Mode".
Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.
-
Mike.

Hi Mike,
I spent alot of time yesterday but my computer froze up or something I couldn't do anything but shut it down, so I will rerun everything now, also I wasn't sure what you meant by unloading SpySubtract, I really am new at this (sorry) This is so hard, how do you know how to do all this?

Be sure not to reboot your system, until we have everything cleaned off. If you can't delete the specified files at the end of this solution, until we're completely done to delete them.
-
Let's take the next pass....
-
We'll need to unload (not uninstall) Intermute's SpySubtract, since it might interfere with other program(s) we might be using to 'clean' off your
system.
Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:
Desktop Search
Virtual Bouncer
The above could appear anywhere within the entry. Be careful not to remove any personal or system software.
Run HiJackThis then:
1. Click " Config..."
2. Click " Misc Tools"
3. Click " Open Process manager"
-
Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate ( if present) and click on ( highlight) each of the following:
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\desktop.exe
C:\windows\system32\pcdckw.exe
Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click " Kill process". Now, click " Refresh",
check again, and repeat this step if any remain.
Now, let's open a command prompt and unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:
regsvr32 /u dlmax.dll
regsvr32 /u sysupd.dll
regsvr32 /u mfiltis.dll
It's ok, if these aren't found or 'error' out. If you want, just copy and paste the individual lines to the command prompt to save on the typing.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
O2 - BHO: DLMaxObj Class - {00000000-59D4-4008-9058-080011001200} - C:\WINDOWS\dlmax.dll
O2 - BHO: IE Update Class - {5B4AB8E2-6DC5-477A-B637-BF3C1A2E5993} - C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\sysupd.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [VBouncer] C:\PROGRA~1\VBouncer\VirtualBouncer.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Desktop Search] C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\desktop.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ffis] C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\ffisearch.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [pcdckw] c:\windows\system32\pcdckw.exe
O18 - Filter: text/html - {950238FB-C706-4791-8674-4D429F85897E} - C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\mfiltis.dll
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".
Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders:
folders...
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs
C:\PROGRA~1\VBouncer
files...
C:\windows\system32\pcdckw.exe
C:\WINDOWS\dlmax.dll
-
Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're ' in use', try deleting them from Safe Mode".
Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.
