how to uninstall McAfee security center?
hello,
I used McAfee security center , now I wanna try Simantec Norton Antyvirus instead. I cannot install it unless I uninstall McAfee first. When I go to Add/Remove and try to remove McAfee Virusscan it says: "the installation cannot continue because some components ( C:\progra~1\mcafee.com\agent\uninst\vsoremui.dll) are missing). Does anybody know what to do with that?

Have you already tried to remove some of the McAfee files?
If not, you have to make sure you turn off all of the running features of Mcafee before it will allow you to uninstall it?
However I would reccommend that you download the replacement AV program before you uninstall the current one. You can download the new, delete the old, then Install the new

http://tinyurl.com/bc7j6 , all you need to do is save this to your desktop. The actual article is:
http://ts.mcafeehelp.com/displayDoc.asp?frames=1&docID=397625¶m1=76987&HotTopic=YES . All you need to do is open this file and run it. It will help you fix the problems occurring with the uninstall. And do not forget, if you are trying to uninstall Mcafee 1 piece by 1 piece you need to go in a specific order or the uninstall will be damaged. If you are here is the following order: Spamkiller/Firewall/Privacy Service/Virus Scan/Security Center. Also, if the Black M Tool is not working try restoring to before you tried to uninstall, then reapplying the BlackMTool. This has helped me fix numerous customers comps. ;)
If this is not helping at all i would suggest backing up your registry and hacking the Mcafee out the old fashioned way of ctrl-F(type in Mcafee once)/Delete/Enter repeat. This should fix the problem no matter what. BUT REMEMBER TO BACK UP THE REGISTRY FIRST!!!!!!
