These are two tools that target specific problems which may be affecting your machine:

You can run a program called smitfraudfix. Link and instructions here:

Then a program called vundofix, link to instructions here:
(ONLY do option 1 under removal steps at this time. You probably have a number of problems and the second step will probably NOT help any more than the first one right now.)

These are three general programs that deal with adware, viruses, and system cleanup:

You can run an antispyware program called adaware. You can find a tutorial on it here:

You can run an online antivirus scan - TrendMicro's Houscall. Link here:

If the activex version does not run on your system due to restrictions, it has a java version as well.

You can run a cleanup program called ccleaner. Link here:
Tutorial information here:

( I would recommend that you NOT do anything with the "Advanced" or "Issues" categories at this time.)

After all that work, there is a good chance that you will still have some problems on your machine and/or will need some additional security advice. After you have done those things, you can go to the HijackThis log sub-forum here and follow the instructions for posting a hijackthis log for additional review of your system. (Also post the log from the second step of the smitfraudfix process.)

A helper there will review that information and guide you through additional steps needed to clean up your machine.

Whoa Whoa Whoa,

Not so fast please...

Go to here and download HiJackThis to its own folder that you create on your C:\ drive at C:\HJT.
After it is downloaded open the program and click Scan and Save to log.

Post the log that it generates in the HiJackThisForum for analysis.

thanks,
ZB1

I have asked this person to post a HJT log in the HJT forum, please do not repond to this thread anymore as it is consider closed.
