ie-spyad help please

Question

I do not have a winzip or other zip file program. The first time I tried to download ie-spyad it didnt work because I couldnt open it.  I somehow tried again and now I have the list loaded in my restricted zone blocked list as it should be. Now I dont know how to update the info because I have an ie-spyad icon on my desktop but it still says zip or unzip on it when I try to open it. It may be my first attempt I dont know. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can find the right file and how to update from that file. I am sooo new compared to all of you. All I have done is make it my mission to follow everything all of you say. I have downloaded spyblaster, spybot s&d, ad-aware, reg mechanic (Now I dont remember what that is or what to do with it),  winpatrol, syngate personal firewall, spyguard,symatech antivirus ( cant find that or know how to use or update it) I dont know what else. I go to every url that is posted by the regulars or experts here. I have been to Black Viper, Tom Coyote, Spyware info, and some I cant even find anymore and then I go to their url's. My Dell 4600 was a Christmas present and I already had to completely reinstall the os. Any suggestions for someone who is trying really hard but thinks she is in too deep. LOL Thank you for everything.

To start with, if you have windows XP, you don't need an unzip program, windows will do it itself.

From you post I can't see if you have problems getting to spywareinfo or tomcoyotes, if you do then you have one of the newer virus's installed on your computer. Please confirm.

IE-spyad
This program to my knowledge does not have a undate option (Unless a newer versions is out, then I have) with that you need to re download the newer version and then install that.

List of programs I would recommend you have
1) Any UPTODATE anti-virus program - anyone will do - just keep it uptodate - daily.
2) Spywareblaster - update weekly.
3) Spywareguard - update weekly
4) IE-spyad reinstall say monthly (or every two months)
5) Spybot S&D - update each time before scanning, do scans weekly (OR after a heavy internet browse)
6) Ad-aware - update before scanning - run alternatively withn spybot, one each week
7) A firewall if not behind a NAT router.

Chris thank-you for helping me.  Yes I can get into these sites. I was confused about the zip program. I also have all of these programs installed and I will print out your instructions when to update.  Thanks again.
