ie-spyad updated

I hesitate to post this, but Eric Howes has finally updated ie-spyad as of Dec. 30/08. It appears to require uninstalling any previous version(s). Full details are here:
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/uiuc/resource.htm

For those unfamiliar with ie-spyad, it places several thousand bad websites in your Restricted Zone, which prevents activeX controls, Java applets, cookies or scripting to compromise your PC if you visit these sites using IE. (It is of no use if you use another browser, and is not recommended for Vista).

The problem with ie-spyad is that for the longest time Howes did not keep it updated (these bad websites are constantly changing) and most experts  finally advised dumping it as unnecessary and out-dated clutter. If Howes continues to keep it updated, it is a useful added layer of protection for those using IE. Time will tell.

For those wishing to try it, be aware that it will remove entries in your Restricted Zone added by SpywareBlaster and Spybot S&D, so you will have to re-add them from within those programs.

I chose not to post this in the daily updates thread, due to the somewhat controversial nature of this program. It was once very useful, and could be so again.
