infected file in prefetch folder?

Norton AV detected a Trojan infected file named BADCDM32.exe on my computer and said they automatically fixed it.  However, there is still a file by that name in my 'prefetch' folder.  Shouldn't that have been removed?  Can all files in a 'prefetch ' folder be deleted?  If so, (this is probably a dumb question) what is an easy way to delete a lot of files in a folder without deleting the folder itself?  Thanks for your help.  Ali2

Open a command window. Type in 'del c:\windows\prefetch\*.* /q' [enter]. There is a space between * and /. Close the command window.
