Installing Spyware.

Question

Hello.  I am trying to install the 'Spyware Terminator' but I am getting an ' error 5 message'. What's the deal?   Thanx.

That's not one I would recommend. Perhaps you should contact their support.

Before using or purchasing any Spyware/Malware protection/removal program, always check the Rogue/Suspect Spyware List.

There are many so called spyware removers out there that are exactly the opposite, they put spyware on the PC not remove it.   The two best programs and free.   http://www.download.com/3000-8022-10122137.html           spybot by PepiMK Software, there are some clones of this in the marketplace, be sure it is PepiKM Software. Most other makers of spyware removers, borrow (nice term for something worse) the definition files of this software to make their own work half as good as this one does..I do not know how many times this software kept me from reinstalling windows on severely infected machines that had malware and worms...    http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html      Adaware by Lavasoft, this was the very first anti spyware on the market originally called (OptOut), hundred years ago it seems. I know who coded the optout version, Steve Gibson of  www.grc.com  he sold it to Lavasoft on the condition that it would remain free, so far they have kept their word, says allot about the company..

Those are the two I use. Recommend using AdAware first, then spybot. That scenario seems to work best.

If you are new to these two programs, install each, and then update, and then run.
