IS THERE A RE-FORMATTING TUTORIAL HERE ? LOADED WITH VIRUSES
My computer is loaded with dangerous viruses of all kinds and I need to reformat since even my Norton will not help with this. Is there a tutorial on Dell.com that will walk me through? It takes forever to get a phone tech and because of Rheumatoid Arthritis I cannot hold a phone for long.
I looked at the book that came with my computer two years ago, but the instructions are different than what phone techs have had me do in the past....they say that following that info will not wipe my hard drive clean. All I remember of the process is that I hit F2...after that, it's a blank...TIA

Since you didn't state which model computer you have or which version of Windows you are running, I can't point you to detailed instructions. However, if you click on the Product Support button at the top left of the forum Window, you can click on Reinstall Guide from the drop-down menu, then enter your system information, then choose "Operating System" and your version of Windows and it will take to links that tell you how to reformat and reinstall that version of Windows on your system.
