Malwarebytes lays off 100+ workers ahead of planned company split - SiliconANGLE

Wonder if this means the end of the free version of Malwarebytes, and (try to) force users to get the paid version...?Other companies seem to be doing that by eliminating free versions of their software, eg Macrium...

I would hope they allow us with the lifetime license to keep it. My Windows 11 rehabbed Vostro seems to be happy with both it and Windows Defender offering real time protection...no observed conflicts.
