MFC42.dll 6569

Question

Dear All   After having removed an enormous amount of spyware from my Dell, I keep getting an error message which tells me the ordinal 6569 is not found in MFC42.dll. I have reinstalled this dll file into the Windows System file, but this message keeps recurring. Can anyone tell me how to correct the problem? Thank you in advance.   Rolve

one possibility is that you have more than one copy of MFC42.dll on your system, and you 'reinstated' an older version. check your drive for multiple copies, and be sure you're 'reinstating' the newest (highest?) version number. Message Edited by ky331 on 07-19-2005 01:19 PM
