Run HJT, scan only, check these and then Fix Checked:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [My Web Search Bar] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\MWSBAR.DLL,S

Reboot and make a new HJT log and post it as a reply.  Any better?

Ron

PS

If your next post loses the formatting too then click on Edit as HTML, a new window will appear, click on

Automatically convert carriage returns to HTML line breaks

then Graphical Editor, (should bring you back).  Then if it looks OK, Submit.  Otherwise delete the text and repaste it then submit it.

Removed proposed two lines.  No re-loading of the MWSBAR.DLL so far.

Just this remnant:

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-89B3-BE29F5D3E32D} - (no file)

Otherwise looks clean.

The mwsbar.dll entry was from MyWaySearch that Dell installed on all new PCs up until recently.  Not really evil, just a bit of a nuisance.  Looks like one of your antimalware programs  decide it was adware and ate the file but forgot to remove the registry entries.  Very sloppy.

Thank you for the help -- RKinner --

I have the eZula Top Text that opens when I do a Search. Aladdin System picks it up but hte Stub.exe file is still not being cleaned.

C:\windows\system32  file name: inkstub

1. Download this file - combofix.exe - http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/combofix.exe
and SAVE it to your desktop.
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall
Probably won't fix it but the log may tell me why it comes back.

Combofix didn't see it and didn't say anything about making a change so I don't know what happened to it.

I don't think lnkstub.exe is Ezula.  I have it on my PC and if I rightclick on it and select Properties it tells me it belongs to Microsoft.

I would think ad-aware or spybot s&d would take care of Ezula.

Combofix did find a few questionable files:

2007-02-03 22:46 164 --a------ C:\install.dat
C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmdlineext03.dll

First one is too generic to say what it is.  Second one is some kind of copy protection scheme.  Possibly from Sony tho also used for a bunch of video games.

run one of the online free scanners like:
or

I think kaspersky just points out problems whereas trend will try and remove them too.
